Important Engine Mounting Information
for the NexStar ARF & OS .46AX

Problem:
When mounting the OS .46AX the needle valve outlet is directly over the
rear engine mounting screw. The needle valve outlet is plastic and
very easy
to break. (important areas are noted by red
arrows)
Suggested Solution:
Before mounting the OS .46AX on a Nexstar it is very
important to bend the
needle valve support back away from the engine so that the outlet is not
over
the mounting screw. It is best to remove the needle valve assembly
before
bending the mount. But be aware that even with the needle valve assembly
moved, it is still very easy to break the outlet.
Tighten this screw before tightening the front and then don't
go back to re-torque.
You will break it!
Problem:
Aligning the ISO mount so the engine is centered in the mounting frame.
Suggested Solution:
Slip on the silcon "boots" over the engine mounts. Then
slide on the white plastic
covers. Place the metal mounting strap over one of the white
plastic covers and
slip the mounting screws through the holes in the cover. Do it the
same on the other
side. Gently lower the engine down into the mounts until all four
bolts start into the
holes. Take a phillips screw driver and push and screws the both
down a little at a
time until they are all seated. Pay attention to the previously
mentioned problem as
you start to tighten the bolts. Do the left rear first and make it
snug. (Watch out for
the needle value). Then tighten down the rest, do not go back
to the right rear bolt!
Problem:
It is difficult to adjust the low end!
Suggested Solution:
Take a thin flat blade screw driver and determine when it hit the
right cheek. Using
a hobby knife, first cut straight down about 1/8 - 1/4 inch, then
cutting from the front
go towards the end of the downward cut. It will look like this

the bare wood with CA to make it fuel proof.
